The VR5D utilizes the proven Ricoh Gen 5 printheads. The Gen 5 is a two channel design to support two colors at a time. With just two printheads jetting CMYK you can achieve speeds up to 250 sqft/hr in a quality mode. With the addition of 2, 4, 6 or 8 color or white heads, you can increase the speed of your machine to meet your growing demand.
The most unique feature of the VR5D is called BandGUARD. With 4 color heads installed in one row, we mirror the bidirectional print capability to maximize quality and minimize time. The BandGUARD configuration ofYM CK- KCMYputs down the same dot pattern with the same cure rate in each direction. This allows for high quality prints with fewer passes.
